Verdict

A handful of these ran in the Ebor over today's trip at York last month. Elidor finished closest to the winner in third with Retirement Plan, Chester Cup winner Suegioo and Great Hall further back. But SIR WALTER SCOTT (NAP) finished a creditable seventh in that contest on only his second start of the year and Luca Cumani's colt should be spot on now. He gets the vote to come good in this. Adventure Seeker went close in the Melrose over 1m6f at the Ebor meeting and there was little between fourth-placed Pearl Castle, Stomachion and Lahaag last time in another competitive handicap at York. Shwaiman is much better than his recent poor effort at Goodwood suggests but Big Thunder remains out of form and Tenenbaum finished tailed off in this last year.
