Verdict

Fiulin sets a fair standard here and Marco Botti's colt gets the vote ahead of Platoche and Full Speed. The selection has finished second on each of his last two starts and this son of Galileo is fancied to oblige on his third start. The further step up in trip is sure to suit and with the ground to suit he should go well. Alan Swinbank's Full Speed has shown ability to date and must be respected as he steps up in trip by half a mile, whereas Special Reserve ahs shown little to date and needs to improve. Vice Consul is nicely bred and must be respected, although handicaps may be where his future lies, whilst Capal Dubh Alainn needs to improve markedly on what we have seen in two runs. Platoche is a potential improver after just one run when he was a well-beaten third at Redcar and much better can be expected today from this expensive purchase, however it is Fiulin who gets the vote in the finale.
