Easier going is a slight concern for Goodwood winner Poet's Word, who also has a 10lb higher mark to contend with. Lusory was a shade disappointing when beaten on his handicap debut at Newmarket and is a pound higher while Cote d'Azur came up short when bidding for a five-timer off this mark at Beverley. Oisin Murphy just couldn’t find a gap in time for BERMONDSEY (NAP) at Sandown last month but Luca Cumani's four-year-old looks back to his best so we'll hope that Jamie Spencer has better luck here. Central Square sports blinkers on his return from a short break but may be a few pounds too high now. Ode To Evening is hard to catch right but may be the pick of the remainder ahead of Emerald.
