Blending won a Newmarket maiden in the style of a progressive performer but this is a big step up. It was no surprise that Bongrace showed further improvement over a mile at Newcastle as she's stoutly bred and could be overpriced. Hidden Steps did well to win at Lingfield as she was very green. There should be more to come while Reachforthestars showed that a mile was no problem at Thirsk. KILMAH's half-sister Tears For The Sun won races up to 1m2f and Mark Johnston's filly showed class and determination when making all over 7f in the Prestige Stakes at Goodwood, beating Urban Fox, Rich Legacy, Tiburtina and Grecian Light in the process. She looks the one to beat again.
