      Verdict

This division of the maiden is possibly even tougher to come down in favour of one than the first division, but ANOINT gets the vote. His brother Divine Call won recently for William Haggas and this son of Pivotal should handle the ground. We take him to perform on his first run and take the top honours, although this is a tentative suggestion. Kevin Ryan doesn't have the greatest record here so we bypass Take Your Partner, whilst given the prices paid for Seal Rock he may not be the smartest juvenile Henry Candy has ever had. Way Chief is from a respected yard with juveniles and is worth a look despite underwhelming on debut. The dam of Swing Door was a sprint winner on dirt in the US so should have the pace for this, while the ground should be suitable for the royal-owned Countermarch on debut given the pedigree. Iceblast may be able to build upon third on debut at York and Fettuccine was even closer with second at Yarmouth on her second start. Both have to be considered to have strong chances with racecourse experience to their advantage.
