Verdict

Mickmacmagoole is probably not the easiest of rides for a conditional jockey and in a competitive opener on the card marginal preference is just for the Alex Hales-trained LEMON SILK, who can follow up his narrow success at Exeter last month racing off just a 5lb higher mark today. Nick Gifford's Latin America may prefer a softer surface, while Preuty Boy ran very disappointingly when last seen at Kempton in April. Anything trained by Paul Nicholls has to be respected and Sunwise is no exception after just two runs over hurdles since coming from Ireland and he makes more appeal than Jim Best's Northern Lad, who now seems too high in the weights. Doctor Foxtrot should come on for his reappearance run but needs to if he is to get the better of Lemon Silk.
