In depth

Verdict

Palmette found little for pressure at Folkestone last week and this is a much more competitive affair. Salisbury third Bunraku is improving though may do better in handicaps but Catwalk can only improve for the step up in trip and has already shown she handles give in the ground. Raheeba was second over a mile on good to soft at Goodwood so will have no problem lasting home and Quality Pearl and Shore Performer showed plenty of promise in the same maiden at Newmarket and are others to consider. But Roger Varian rarely allows his newcomers to turn up at the track unprepared and a big run is expected from URBAN DAYDREAM. She's a half-sister to the top-class Rainbow Peak and, though she'll stay further in time, this will be a good indicator of her potential.
