In depth

Verdict

In a race that appears to lack strength in depth, Juralan can get the better of Your A Gassman, with the advice being to watch the betting with regard to the chances of a number of other runners. The selection ran over fences last time but a repeat of his half-length second to subsequent winner Salhood at this track in January, would give him an excellent chance of winning this event. If Ferdy Murphy's stable was in better form a good chance could be given to Your A Gassman, who won a Southwell bumper in May and showed promise on his hurdling debut in January behind the useful Steppes Of Gold. Turning to the others. Ashwell improved on his debut effort to be a staying-on fourth a Market Rasen last time. Captain Rawlings hails from a good stable and is out of a winning mare, but he'll have to step up on his only run to date to feature. Cleopatras Therapy did well in bumpers but has been beaten a long way in the two hurdle races she has contested to date. Goldhorn was good enough to win on his Doncaster bumper debut but has not been now since the year 2000. Pottsy's Joy showed promise on his second start and could improve for the step up in trip. River Marshall is another to have shown promise in bumpers although he too will need to leave behind the form of his hurdling debut. Although from a decent stable, Scrumpy has so far shown very little. Overall, then, Juralan looks to hold an excellent chance.
