In depth

Verdict

Mark Johnston sent out two winners at Goodwood this week that had run earlier at the meeting and is represented here by Robandela, who was a good second to Prairie Wolf in the Summer Stakes. Off the same mark he should be thereabouts again. The booking of Jimmy Fortune for the Mick Easterby-trained Trouble Mountain, although the son of Mt Livermore is not certain to handle the ground. Old campaigners McGillycuddy Reeks and Warning Reef are sure to have their supporters but the one they all have to beat looks to be Richard Fahey's King's Crest. Wins in similar company at Pontefract, Beverley and Hamilton have seen the four-year-old rise 13lbs in the handicap but there may be more improvement to come.
