Verdict

HIGH STANDING has run well fresh in the past and we expect him to do the same today with High Curragh and Silaah in hot pursuit. The selection has been lightly raced over the last three years but has shown consistent form. His last five outings have seen him take three victories and two runner-up spots. He returns from an 11 month break today but has run very well fresh in the past and is capable of the same today. High Curragh was a winner at Ripon last time out. The six-year-old did just enough to end his long losing run on this return from a 159-day break. He was resuming from a career-low mark and while he has a four-pound penalty here, that may not stop him following up. Silaah is relaltively lightly-raced and he looks to be returning to his optimum trip.
