In depth

Verdict

Testing ground will make this a thorough stamina test which should suit BATON ROUGE, a full-brother to Irish 2000 Guineas and Breeders' Cup Turf winner Magician. A very good third in what looked a strong Curragh maiden, he couldn't get close to the winner but kept on and this doesn't look the toughest of contests. Erzindjan will have come on for his run behind Saturday's Group 2 winner Mac Swiney and two subsequent winners at the Curragh while the winner's yard is represented by Vocito, who didn't run badly in very heavy ground at Roscommon. Writewhenyouland is well held by the selection on collateral form though improved slightly on her next start over 5f here when she was staying on.
