In depth

Verdict

The combination of Gordon Elliott and Jamie Codd looks formidable and Torn Asunder, a winner between the flags in February, should have made enough progress over the summer to get into the frame. Mick Hourigan won this last year and can repeat the process with DUSHYBEAG. He's been alternating between bumpers and hurdles and was just touched off in a Clonmel bumper last time. Calibre Style won a point-to-point in March and made a bright start under rules in a Tipperary bumper the following month so she can go close along with Mikey O'Connor's Our Knight, who made a good impression when narrowly beaten in a Dromahane point-to-point in April.
