In depth

Verdict

Sors is well handicapped and ran well at Tipperary but that was over 5f and he's only raced over this trip once when well beaten. The veteran Gordon Lord Byron, 16 times a winner, is a light of other days and hasn't won for two years but he's been running in much better company so can't be dismissed. St Brelades Bay was running well throughout last summer, scoring at Gowran and the Curragh, and will be better for his two recent runs over 6f while War Hero was in good form at Dundalk over the winter though hasn't run up to the same level on Turf. WAITINGFORTHEDAY (NAP) completed a hat-trick last summer and continued to perform with credit from higher marks. She will have needed her comeback at Gowran and can take this for Joseph O'Brien.
