The draw generally favours high numbers when the ground is riding soft but most of the better fancied entries here are drawn low. They include the consistent Battleroftheboyne, who has been beaten a total of 5l in his last four starts but is much better handicapped on the all-weather. Barbeque has yet to win but almost scored here in October and will like the conditions though she's another not ideally berthed. Surburban Sky is drawn six which may not be a problem as she's a front-runner though she's yet to prove herself over this trip. SOFI'S SPIRIT won four times for Stan Moore before transferring to Ireland where she's had four runs following a very long break.
