Verdict

Mark Johnston has won this twice in recent years and is double handed this time. Courtesy Call has won two Class 6 handicaps very easily but has been raised a further 8lb as a consequence so Hyperlink, a comfortable winner at Goodwood last time, may prove best of the pair. Gabrial The Hero easily won a Haydock maiden over this trip before running well when sent over 1m6f there on his handicap debut. He's gone up another 4lb for that defeat and may find the concession of that much weight to RAYVIN BLACK beyond him. Mark Tompkins' charge was having his first start beyond a mile when staying on strongly over this trip in a tough handicap at York and, with a soft ground success at Yarmouth to his credit, he's ready to score again. Hallmark Star pulled too hard at Musselburgh and finished a long way behind and Zenaat hasn't shown much to date.
