Verdict

Van Ellis ran a cracking race over this trip at Epsom and hasn't quite lasted home over a mile subsequently in better company. He's no forlorn hope despite a big weight but meets some seriously progressive rivals. All Or Nothin won a maiden over 6f here before landing a Pontefract handicap over that trip where he stayed on strongly. He'll have no problems with the extra but may find WELL PAINTED too strong. William Haggas' charge beat subsequent winner Riot Of Colour on his debut over this trip at Newbury and only just failed to hold the late thrust of Chapter Seven over a mile at Doncaster. He'll improve again and is handed the vote though Decision By One, whose two victories have been over 6f, has always looked as though this trip would suit and looks well handicapped. Zakreet has been racing over further but his only run over this trip resulted in a victory at Newcastle.
