In depth

Verdict

Alfraamsey is sure to be all the rage here but we will take him on with TAMAREEN who is narrowly preferred to Lexington Bay. The draw is a worry for the Mick Channon-trained Alfraamsey who looked as though he would benefit from slightly further at Newmarket last time, and there is every chance that he could get run off his feet over today's trip on this track. The draw is also a negative for Lexington Bay, although this High Chaparral colt certainly catches the eye on breeding and he is from a yard in good form. However, Tamareen should be able to race prominently from stall three and he showed enough on his debut at Yarmouth to suggest that he could be up to winning a race of this nature. Mark Brisbourne has a good record at this track so River Blade is worth noting in the market for any support, but a safer bet looks to be Tamareen who won't need to find much improvement to break his duck at the second attempt.
