In depth

Verdict

A keen betting heat with a number of possibles including Pepperoni who progressed well last term, winning a York Listed contest, and will be all the sharper for his recent return. Esligier is a speedy sort who was far from disgraced when taking on her elders in a Listed event at Doncaster and is certainly one for the short list along with Dragon Flyer, a fine fourth behind Mariinsky at Haydock on his return. Maktavish may find conditions too quick but the lightly weighted Yarrow Bridge is open to further progress and can't be dismissed in an open affair.
