In depth

Verdict

Pekan Star should do well this season but will only run here if the ground eases, which appears unlikely. STRONG VIGILANCE showed signs of ability on turf last year but has flourished on Polytrack this year scoring twice at Wolverhampton. He's probably still on a very fair mark for his return to turf and gets the vote in a competitive heat. Nibani looks a big threat as he reappeared with a fine run at Windsor when failing by the narrowest margin to catch Laughing Jack. That should have brought him on and he's another who looks fairly treated. Satwa Moon may prefer further and easier ground while the veteran Granston has been raised 4lb for his victory over Beverley's 1m4f last month.
