    Verdict

Chinese Democracy has been a consistent performer for David Evans this season but she keeps finding at least one too good and that is likely to be the case again here in a race taken to go to MRS MOGG, who gets the verdict over Scarcity. Ed Dunlop's filly won well at Yarmouth on her handicap debut last month but an 8lb rise for that success looks harsh and she may have to settle for minor honours today. Like several of these, Bryn Palling's Miskin Nights is lightly raced after just three starts and has to be considered first time in a handicap off a mark of 70 but she seems a shade high in the weights, while Gary Moore's Oasis Jade ran better at Goodwood last time but had not shown much worthwhile form prior to that so she looks best watched. John Dunlop's Gundaroo has shown improved form in recent starts and makes more appeal than George Baker's Kenyan Cat, who seems plenty high enough for what she has achieved. The vote then goes the way of Tom Dascombe's Mrs Mogg, who is another racing in a handicap for the first time today but she looks to be reasonably well treated off a mark of just 62 judged by the form shown when chasing home Fairy Shoes at Musselburgh last time.
