Verdict

Italian Tom made a promising debut when a close fifth behind King's Approach at Leicester in April and Simon Callaghan's colt has solid claims being dropped into a seller here but it is hard to get away from the more experienced TRUE RED, who gets the vote with Safari Camp rated the best of the rest. The selection has shown a decent level of form in maidens prior to recent starts in sellers and claimers and a reproduction of the form shown in those races should see Rod Millman's filly gain a deserved first success. Bill Turner's Cecil's Gift was well held on her debut in a Windsor seller earlier this month on her debut and is hard to back with any confidence on that evidence. Mick Channon's Ba Jetstream did not progress from his debut outing and looks best watched with a bigger threat looking to be Safari Camp. Peter Winkworth's colt has run creditably in recent starts in sellers but True Red has an obvious chance and is hard to oppose.
