Verdict

This looks very trappy as a case can be made for the majority. Paddy The Oscar has a wonderful record here and it's remarkable to see him giving weight away all round at the age of 15. He seems sure to go well on the evidence of his latest course win last month but we'll take a real chance with LAC SACRE, He's never been the easiest to win with and gives the impression of not putting it all in at times but he's a really smooth traveller who handles this ground and may still be on the bridle when others are calling enough if Daryl Jacob can finesse him round. He should be available at an each-way price. For Carmel is a similar type who could go well off bottomweight if putting a bad run last time behind him, whilst the likes of Pink Gin, Polymath and Cailleach Annie are others who could get involved in a wide-open affair.
