In depth

Verdict

Simbirsk has struggled since winning at Bath in May and cheekpieces are added while Seaborn has been winning lower grade races but is upped 5lb for last month’s second at Brighton. HIGH ACCLAIM wasn’t far behind the winner when fifth at Newbury a fortnight ago. He was winning off an 11lb higher mark last year and an apprentice’s allowance could give him the edge in this. Brittanic looks no nearer ending a long losing run but Il Sicario may do better back over today’s shorter trip.
