In depth

Verdict

Bredon Hill Lad was bidding for a four-timer at Exeter on New Year's Day but was beaten out of sight by NORDIC NYMPH. Not even a 14lb turnaround in the weights should be enough for Sue Gardner's charge to turn the tables and the latter showed himself to still be in excellent form when second at Huntingdon last week in a much better race that this. The Geegeez Geegee left previous form behind when winning at Taunton last week but now has a penalty to carry and none of the remainder make much appeal on recent form.
