In depth

Verdict

A Hunter chase that has cut up with only seven runners and all of which have been mostly contesting in point to point races. Bright Beacon ridden by leading Welsh amateur Evan Williams looks to have the best pointing form running up a sequence of wins between the flags until being carried out through no fault of his own last time out. If translating that level of form over the bigger obstacles will be a big player today. Camden Carrig is another who has got his act together recently being successful in his last two runs. Jackson looks the form pick though. Top amateur Richard Burton is booked. He is a multiple winner in points and was in front and traveling well when unseating his rider five out at Market Rasen last time out and as long as that has not hindered his confidence he should win.
