In depth

Verdict

The toughest race on the card will not be lucky for many. However, Enjoy The Buzz is holding his form well enough for him to be given the nomination to get the better of Rileys Dream and Yorkies Boy, who are just others with sound claims in a race of this nature. Another one to bear in mind is Yamato Pink, who has improved since gaining a confidence booster in a Banded Stakes race in April and arrives here fresh after a short summer break. Yorkies Boy ran one of his better races last time and would have to be given a serious chance if it could be guaranteed that he will turn up in the same frame of mind. However, the fact that his rating has more than halved since he won off 100 at York three years ago confirms that he is not the force he was, so support for him is recommended to the very brave only. Rileys Dream is closely matched with Wood Fern (runs in the previous race) on their recent encounter at Brighton and the clues will be there for all to see by the time of the off. He can give the selection the most to do if all goes well. However, Enjoy The Buzz has the more solid profile from recent weeks and is taken to gain his fourth win of the year if he hits the gates running again today.
