In depth

Verdict

Dans Le Vent was outpaced when favourite at Huntingdon earlier this month but this stiffer track should suit. However, all eyes are likely to be on SLATE HOUSE as he makes his debut under Rules. Hugely impressive when winning a maiden point in Ireland last November, he was sold for £260,000 in March and is held in high regard. A fair sort on the Flat, Cash In Mind was second at Tipperary on his hurdles bow and should win races while Point Of Principle had decent bumper form and is bred for jumping. Gortroe Joe looks a chaser in the making, however, and Flat winner Windshear did not enjoy his first experience of hurdling at Musselburgh.
