Verdict

A competitive Hunter Chase with Montifault, Siver Castle, Coolefind, Mister Friday and Cobreces all in the form of their lives but the vote goes to the last named. Cobreces has only been beaten once this year and that was when unseating in this years Fox Hunters at Aintree. Prior to that he had been winning readily at Leicester and Ludlow on two occasions. As long as that mishap over the Grand National fences has not knocked his confidence he looks set to score again. Montifault has the class to go close as this former handicapper managed a distant third in the Fox Hunters. Mister Friday won over course and distance earlier in the month when beating Mullengrove convincingly and is sure to go well again. Silver Castle has been rekindled and won well at Bangor before finishing second at Newbury behind Redbrook Lad and can run well again. Coolefield is another winning in the pointing field and is worth noting in the market. But for the winner we return to Cobreces.
