    Verdict

MAGIC DANCER hasn’t won since landing last year’s renewal and is 6lb higher today. But his latest second in a Grade 3 hurdle at Ascot suggests Kerry Lee’s charge has improved since and another bold bid is expected under last year’s winning partner. Laughing Luis won a handicap at Newbury last month and is 5lb higher today while Turning Gold, Innocent Touch and Red Hot Chilly all won their respective latest starts with the latter scoring over a slightly shorter trip here back in November. Le Ligerien opened his account with a maiden hurdle win at Fontwell and the consistent Uno Mas has been running well in lower grade contests.
