Verdict

Indian Castle finished fourth in this last year off a 5lb higher mark when Theatre Guide was unplaced. But the Hennessy second arrives in better form this time having landed the BetBright Chase at Kempton last month with something in hand. Holywell won this contest in 2014 but is still 8lb higher, though did go on to score in a Grade 1 later. His trainer Jonjo O'Neill also saddles the very progressive Sandown winner BEG TO DIFFER and novices have a decent record in this handicap. Aidan Coleman's mount looks worth an interest as he may still be well treated, though Out Sam will be a danger. The latter's jumping has improved with experience and though he's only won a couple of three-runner races so far, the second at Newbury last time has franked the form since and Warren Greatrex' seven-year-old was thought good enough to run in the Albert Bartlett last year – he was rated 3lb higher over timber. Carole's Destrier is a tough sort but looking high enough in the weights now and Kruzhlinin may find this too competitive. Ballykan could run well at a price, however.
