        Verdict

        Bedrock made a strong bid over 1m6f at Doncaster but veered off a straight line and was overtaken by several rivals in the closing stages including the winner MASTER OF IRONY. The latter has yet to race over this far on the Flat but has won over hurdles and is taken to go in again. Graceful Lady never threatened at Ascot but this looks easier and she finished in front of Author's Dream last time while Addicted To You went close at Newmarket when last in action and Western Way won over 2m at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start.
