    Verdict

PIONEERING won by over three lengths over track and trip a week ago and an apprentice’s allowance reduces a 5lb penalty. He can go in again while Lady Of York has placed in both starts since winning a Class 7 contest here in January with Savoy Brown back in fourth. Pike Corner Cross is a rare winner and Apache Blaze looks no nearer ending a long losing run off her current mark while Harbour Quay has yet to win anywhere.
