In depth

Verdict

Tawaafoq would have a shout if taking part but was due to run at Chepstow yesterday and another chance goes to WHO TOLD JO JO. A winner at Yarmouth earlier, she remains penalised for that success but this is less competitive than last week’s task at Kempton. Poppy May placed at Southwell when last in action though has won here before while Wiff Waff has plummeted 22lb down the handicap since the start of last season and has switched yards. Deeds Not Words landed a double here at the start of the year and pops-up when the mood takes him but Carlovian has done most of his winning on the Turf.
