        Verdict

        KING TORUS has never raced here but his four previous all-weather runs have produced two victories, including when dead-heating at Wolverhampton last month. He can score again though Kalon Brama has really taken to this track having completed a hat-trick in minor handicaps before narrowly beaten at a higher level on her last two starts - she's an obvious contender despite a 4lb rise. Clovelly Bay started off at Lingfield before three reasonable runs on soft ground. She has scope to do better and should go well along with Topamichi, who won a similar handicap off just 2lb lower here in March. One Pekan's last victory was on heavy ground at Epsom last August so it remains to be seen how he acts around here.
