In depth

Verdict

Ellenor Gray showed her liking for very fast ground when runner-up over the course and distance last month but was well beaten over Pontefract's much stiffer track next time. Ruby Wonder performed well in her opening runs at Beverley before finishing last in a York Listed contest. She had a long break before a fair run on softer ground at Ripon and should get into the frame. ROMANTIC VISION was well supported at Thirsk and looked to be travelling well enough when impeded 2f out, losing all chance. He can gain compensation though Astrozone showed potential at Beverley despite badly missing the break. With his stable in top form, the speedily-bred Breguet Boy is one to note in the market.
