Verdict

A prolific winner on the all-weather, EVEN STEVENS can race off a much lower mark on Turf and is dropped in class today. He is preferred to stablemate Sir Geoffrey and recent course and distance winner Eland Ally, who landed a Class 6 race here earlier in the month. Doc Charm has a shout on his earlier second in soft ground at Ayr but Prigsnov Dancer and Perfect Peak failed to cope with a rise in the weights last time having won their penultimate starts at Thirsk and this track respectively.
