        Verdict

        This looks the weaker of the two divisions with another chance going to top weight CHICKENFORTEA, a dual course winner who can probably be forgiven his latest run on Fibresand given he was only beaten a length off a higher mark over this track and trip previously. Sfumato could be interesting if bouncing back from a modest effort at Carlisle but the step up in trip is a worry. Maldonado won at Wolverhampton two runs ago but hasn’t raced on Turf in almost a year. Bee Machine won over course and distance on a similar surface back in April but is still 5lb higher, though did score at Southwell last month. Admiral Rooke has started favourite in four of his last five outings but now 0-15 and getting no help from the assessor.
