        Verdict

        Probably as poor a maiden as you would wish to see but Morning Duel looked in need of the experience when third at Ripon and the drop in trip is unlikely to be a problem. LUCKY NUMBER has not been unduly punished in runs at Wetherby and Haydock. The grey may do better in handicaps but it would be no surprise if he went close in this company. Grab And Run was never seen with a chance at Beverley but did make late headway and will know more today.
