In depth

Verdict

Recent Newcastle winner Monkey Glas looks to be the pick of Karl Burke's two runners ahead of Terry Molloy but Hart Of Gold sets a decent standard here and he is preferred. The selection won despite running loose for a circuit beforehand at Southwell two starts ago and may have found the race coming too soon when finding just one too good at Chepstow on faster ground subsequently. Recent rain will have helped his cause and Hart Of Gold is taken to resume winning ways. Obe Royal looks to be going the right way and would be of interest if the market spoke in his favour, while Mister Lucky has had the three runs necessary for a handicap mark but needs to improve. Atheneum gave little sign for encouragement on his handicap debut at Goodwood last time and may be best watched with preference for Hart Of Gold.
