      Verdict

Edgehill may be worth chancing against Turnstile, with Dubonai and Double Gin two others to note. Many will want to be on Turnstile here, simply for the fact that he carries the colours of Graham Wylie, but the plain fact is that Howard Johnson's charge finished behind Edgehill when they met at Kelso a fortnight ago, and has eight lengths to make up on that running. Granted, Turnstile tired in the closing stages, but Edgehill would surely have gone even closer in finishing second to Serbelloni had he not made a costly mistake at the final flight, and with Tony Dobbin, who was on board the winner, now switching to Richard Ford's runner, the hint should be taken. Dubonai was still going well when falling four out at Wetherby last month, while Double Gin was attempting to give weight to subsequent winner Flintoff when beaten narrowly in a Carlisle bumper in March. He will need the run on this, his hurdles bow though, and preference is for Edgehill.
