In depth

Verdict

Onlytime Will Tell gets a tentative vote over stablemate Pax, Annals and Donna's Double to name but three in a trappy selling contest. Dandy Nicholls has two entries here, with Robert Winston booked to ride Onlytime Will Tell who will be plenty fit enough now after four runs this year. They have all been on the all-weather but in better company than today's, and there is no getting away from the fact that he would eat these for breakfast on his old form, having won off a mark of 90 twice in the past. Pax is also better than this level at his best and does handle cut in the ground, although his last two wins have been gained on faster going. He has an absence to overcome as well and that will perhaps count against him today. Annals has failed to progress since making a winning debut for Henry Candy in 2004, while Donna's Double is not getting any younger. The market will be a guide as well in a race of this nature, but we return to Onlytime Will Tell as the answer.
