The opening maiden looks to be between Areyoutalkingtome, Evident Pride and Mary Delaney with a slight preference for Areyoutalkingtome. The Charles Cyzer trained three-year-old was sixth in the Royal Lodge on his final start last season and if he is fit after a six month break he should be a bit too classy for his rivals. He was only four lengths behind Leo that day and did not get the breaks in running, but prior to that he had been second in a decent Goodwood maiden. His rivals today include Mary Delaney who was a neck behind Scottish Stage over this course-and-distance on her only start last season. Mark Wallace has his two-year-olds flying at the moment and she has an excellent chance. Evident Pride is the other runner worth noting as he will be fit following his recent run. The three-year-old son of Chester House was third in a recent maiden at this course and steps down in distance today. He comes here with a chance, but the race looks to be between Areyoutalkingtome and Mary Delaney and we will side with Areyoutalkingtome.
