Verdict

Lysino has been inconsistent since arriving with winning form from Germany and disappointed when favourite in heavy ground at Newcastle last time. Hawaii Five Nil may well be much better than his form figures suggest as he was a decent performer in bumpers and makes his handicap debut over timber though his three runs to date haven't shown us much. PERSIAN HERALD had lost his way before joining Sue Smith and he made most for an emphatic victory in heavy going at Southwell. He's up 6lb but his rider's claim takes care of half of that and a quick double looks on the cards. Dual Flat winner Gold Show should find a race over hurdles soon though probably over further.
