Verdict

Pearl Noir is the only recent winner when successful at Thirsk last month though he’s been well beaten in both starts since. A token vote in a poor contest goes the way of PERFECT WORDS, who scored three times last year including a couple of course and distance wins and is back on a winning mark. Mr Strutter won off a higher mark last year while Kibaar continues to slide down the weights and could bounce back at any time.
