In depth

Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading lights, but the principals look to be Patriarch, Blackergreen and Another Club Royal and the vote is given to Patriarch. The selection caught the eye when a decent fourth behind Nykel last time out. This looks easier and off the same mark he looks the value bet in what is a very open affair. Blackergreen rates the main danger on his latest third behind Kinburn but he just gave the impression he would be suited by a shorter trip on that occasion and for that reason he is opposed. Another Club Royal is another that could go well as he won well last time when beating Frankie Dori but although he has conditions to suit he looks vulnerable under his penalty. Barrons Pike and Been Here Before are game and consistent and look capable of winning off these types of marks but are hard to win with and in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Patriarch.
