In depth

Verdict

A competitive two year old handicap with Miss Lovat, Lindus Atenor, Multiple and No Overtime all worthy of consideration but the nod goes to the last named. Trained by the very much in form Mark Usher No Overtime had been knocking on the door before getting his head in front last time out at Windsor when getting the better of Bathwick Prince. The handicapper has taken effect but this tough contender still looks on the up grade so is worth keeping on the right side of. Miss Lovat made all to win on the all weather on her latest start but this looks tougher and she will need to improve again if she is to win. Lindus Atenor has won at Woverhamton and Lingfield this summer both on the all weather. He has been running consistently well of late without getting his head in front but he looks weighted up to his best. Multiple won a little contest around Brighton on his penultimate start but was exposed in better company at York last time out. He is dropped in grade again here so is worth noting in the betting market. But for the winner we return to No Overtime.
