      Verdict

Change Partners gets the selection here ahead of Nashwan Star, Namaste and In Luck, although Straight Eight might be worth noting in the betting. The selection is trained by Roger Charlton, who has had such a good season. This daughter of Hernando has been placed in all six of her races and deserves to earn some winning brackets. She has form enough to take this and holds an excellent chance. Nashwan Star has also run some good races in defeat but is not blessed with too many gears. Namaste showed some promise on her Newbury debut but, again, does not look to be one of her stable's leading lights. In Luck is exposed as ordinary but, in an ordinary race overall, might bag some place money under Kevin Darley. Of the others, Straight Eight has been racing abroad and, on his first run for Tim Easterby, could be interesting if there is a market move. Vigoreux is a French hurdle winner, while Rose Tinted might appreciate this trip but has something to prove overall. In, as we say, a race that lacks strength in depth, Change Partners has a leading chance.
