Verdict

DISCOVERY BAY was value for more than 2l when scoring at Wetherby in March with Things Change back in third spot. He's continued to progress over timber and should confirm the placing's on unaltered terms, especially after also posting a really good effort on the Knavesmire when reverting to the Flat at the Dante meeting when beaten less than 3l by Cousin Khee in a hot handicap. In contrast, Things Change was seemingly below par on his only subsequent start when only fourth behind Ivan Boru at Kelso despite going off a well-backed favourite. He'll need to improve on that here, whilst former Roger Charlton-trained Flat maiden Tantamount will need to do likewise after an unspectacular Perth hurdling debut. He should improve for that debut run however.
