In depth

Verdict

Brave Spartacus and THE CLOCK LEARY (NAP) both need to rediscover their best after disappointing on recent starts but the latter is given a chance to do so as he would harbour really strong claims if finding the form which saw him achieve success at both Perth and Bangor last autumn. Admittedly the handicapper had his say after those successes, but this doesn't appear to be the strongest of contests. Miss Crick is an obvious contender as she's open to more progress than her rivals, having has just the three runs over fences. She has shown an aptitude for the discipline and rates a major player off a decent mark. Boa Island and Alderbrook Lad will need to improve on latest efforts to prove competitive
