      Verdict

Western Home was an odds-on chance when reverting to hurdles at Perth last month but she never looked like winning. However, Gordon Elliott's mare has won over hurdles and fences here so has to go on the short-list. Midnight Sequel arrives off the back of a win at Worcester and Cowslip is starting to look well handicapped. Gold Chain wins her fair share and has been successful on the Flat since finishing last over a shorter trip here last month while Slipper Satin may be running into form. ETHELWYN had been knocking on the door prior to getting her head in front at Uttoxeter. The step back up in trip seemed to suit that day and she may do even better with another quarter-mile to cover.
